About
My family lives on about forty mostly wild acres outside Charlottesville, Virginia. Some of our five sons are young enough to live at home; some work with my husband Phil in his tree service business. I listen my way through at least two hundred books a year — some years closer to four hundred — and I love to write.
Bob Perry and I founded Makarios Press to get prayer training into the world as fast as possible. In four years it has published more than a hundred titles, most of them about learning to pray and pray well. I host the daily Make Prayer Beautiful podcast, which has now run past a million words, and I have sent a prayer email every morning for more than four years.
A reader once told me, “You’re like a spiritual coach.” I’ll take it.
I am also the CEO and co-founder of Workplace Prayer, which prays for businesses around the world. I have spoken at Perry Marshall’s Roundtable, at the Heaven in Business conference, and at gatherings across the United States and Mexico. I am one of the fortunate few who gets to put an English and Humanities degree to use.
